Eric Thomes graduated from Saint John’s University in 1994 after four years as a member of the Johnnies men’s basketball program. Competing in the MIAC from 1990–1994, Thomes played the forward position during a period defined by discipline, preparation, and accountability. His experience as a student-athlete helped shape a competitive mindset grounded in teamwork and leadership.

Following graduation, Thomes built a long and successful career in the financial services industry. Applying lessons learned through Johnnie Basketball, he advanced into senior leadership roles focused on strategy, distribution, and organizational growth.

Thomes has remained connected to Saint John’s University and the Johnnie Basketball community, supporting alumni initiatives and maintaining relationships formed during his years in Collegeville. His continued engagement reflects a deep appreciation for the values instilled through the Saint John’s experience.
